Egg donation is a process in which a fertile woman donates an egg, or oocyte, to another woman to help her conceive. It is a part of assisted reproductive technology, or ART. While the process can vary depending on your particular experience and IVF clinic, the steps you can expect to go through include:
1. Application
Fill out your application thoroughly. Remember that this is how our lovely clients will select you so make sure that your answers are complete and detailed.
2. Meeting
We will contact you so that we may either meet you in-person or via Skype, to speak directly and go over any questions that you and your family may have. We will schedule your background check, psychological evaluation, and assist you in retrieving any prior cycle or personal birth/deliver records. We will handle your appointments for medical tests/screenings.
3. Matching
We will find you an amazing family to match with once we can proceed. The doctor will approve the match upon review of your documents.
4. Review
Once matched we will reach out to you to go over the details of your match so that you are familiar and comfortable with each step.
5. Medical
If there are any outstanding tests needed, we will gladly schedule these for you. Your nurse will go over how to properly take your stimulation medications so that you are familiar with your protocol.
6. Legal
Once you are medically cleared, your Intended Parents will initiate your legal contracts. You will have your own attorney to review and sign with. No worries, we will assist you with this as well. At this time your donor health insurance and escrow account will be set-up and completed so that all funds will be established ahead of time.
7. Calendar
After legal clearance, your IVF facility will provide you with a cycle calendar; this has all dates of the last portion of your cycle until the time of your egg retrieval, so there will be no surprises and you will be fully aware of every step in order.
8. Payment
Your payment will be sent after confirmation from your IVF facility that the retrieval was concluded.
